Robotics Competition “ALL GEARED UP!”

Mind  Crafters Robotics is proud to present, ALL GEARED UP!  The VEX IQ regional competition leading to  Vex  World  Robotic’s competition.  The Event is being held  at Woodland  Hills Presbyterian Hall.  There are 4 league dates.  We are hosting 15 teams from all over Southern California.  This is a qualifying event for the State Championship.

League Dates 11/13/21 , 12/4/21. 1/15/22 and 2/5/ 22.

These teams will compete for spots in the State Vex competitions, then nationals , finally Worlds

Vex IQ challenge is an annual challenge that is an international field.

It involves;

  • More than 8,500 teams from 45 countries playing in over 900 tournaments
  • Local, regional, national, and world competitions
  • Teamwork Challenge: Two teams working together to maximize their score
  • Robot Skills Challenge: One robot playing alone against the clock
  • STEM Research Project: Students use the scientific method to research and solve a challenge

Agenda for Qualifying Sessions:

12:30-1:30PM  Doors open. Set up
1:00-1:30 PM  Volunteers check in
1:30-200 PM  Teams check in
1:45-2:30 PM  Robot Inspection
2:30-2:45 PM  Opening Ceremony/Event /Announcements

2:45-5:15 PM  Teamwork Practice and Qualifying Matches .   

5:15 : All Robots back to inspection

5:00-5:30 PM  – ROBOT / Team Inspection – prize most helpful team -Conduct /sportsmanship 

5:30 – 5:45 Teams depart. Tear down. Doors close

Under normal circumstances, spectators are welcome, HOWEVER due to COVID protocol’s this is a closed event

Mind Crafters Robotics teaches many robotic Platforms  for age appropriate FUN and learning! In the VEX IQ Challenge, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play with other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. 

Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamworkleadershipcommunications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!
